Hats off Team Solar!
Solar Communications Ltd, an independent communications organisation, like every year set a new challenge to raise money for a noble cause and this year the money raised would go towards BasicNeeds.
10 Solar employees participated in a 100 mile non-stop cycle ride on the 8th of September, 2012. The event kicked off in the early hours of the day and the brave cyclists followed the National Cycle Route 4 along the Kennet and Avon Canal starting at the River Thames in Reading and finishing in Bristol.
In spite of a few wrong turns and some scrapes and bruises, all the cyclists were able to complete the challenge in less than 12 hours! Thanks to efforts of Solar Communications, the funds raised are well over £6k which has exceeded the set target of £5k.
The entire BasicNeeds team are immensely grateful to the staff from Solar Communications for their valiant efforts!
