1 - Internship - Google foundation and other internet based foundations: BasicNeeds has slowly become better known over the last 10 years. It is seeking to continue to develop its profile and one effective way of doing this is through taking advantage of offers made available by internet based companies and their related foundations. The most obvious is google.org which seeks to support Charities to raise their profile through enhancing the search facilities of the charity on their own search engine. Each major search engine (google, yahoo, hotmail) will have such arrangements and it would be very useful to have these all researched and an application made to those who are most relevant.

2 - Internship - Middle East Foundations: Over the past 10 years a number of very significant foundations have been formed by families, countries and specific businesses (e.g. airlines) within the middle east. These foundations tend to have quite extensive interests in funding work in the developing world. At times the funding is aimed at Africa and at other times more specifically at Muslim states. Either way there is a growing list of these foundations.   BasicNeeds works in a number of countries where these foundations fund. It also works with a number of different kinds of people that the foundations favour e.g. children, children who have missed school, unwell people from Muslim backgrounds, people with chronic illnesses such as mental illness and epilepsy.
